Educational Licenses: Empowering Future Solar Professionals
The PVcase Educational License program gives you, as a student or educator at a qualified academic institution, access to PVcase Ground Mount and/or Roof Mount software for the duration of your courses. To further support your learning, students, and educators are also granted access to the PVcase Academy.
Eligibility
If you are a student, educator, or contractor enrolled in, employed by, or contracted by a qualified educational institution, you may be eligible. Qualified institutions are those that have been accredited by an authorized governmental agency and whose primary purpose is teaching enrolled students, including accredited higher education institutions.
Who is eligible?
Qualified educational institutions include all accredited public or private schools, including:
- Junior colleges
- Colleges, universities, and technical schools.
Organizations that do not qualify:
The following types of organizations are not qualified educational institutions:
- Non-accredited educational institutions
- Training centers
- Research laboratories (exceptions will be made if research results will be published)
- Retraining programs
Requesting an educational license
To set up your educational license, we’ll need some basic information from you. Please complete the Educational & Research License request form.
We will also need written proof of your current employment (educators) or enrollment (students) at your institution.
For educators:
- Download the pvcase-educator-verification.docx and provide the appropriate details.
- Have your senior faculty colleague or administrator sign it. The letter must be on the institution’s letterhead to be valid for verification. You may either copy and paste into your institution’s letterhead or print on letterhead and scan/photograph in preparation for uploading in support of your request to verify your eligibility to access PVcase products with an Educational license.
- Send the completed document to education@pvcase.com
For students:
- Download the pvcase-student-verification.docx and provide the appropriate details.
- Have your professor or Administrator sign it. The letter must be on the university letterhead to be valid for verification. You may either copy and paste it into your university letterhead or print it on letterhead and scan/photograph it in preparation for uploading in support of your request to verify your eligibility to access PVcase products with an educational license.

Research Licenses: Advancing Solar Energy Innovation
The primary goal of research partnerships is to provide the academic community with access to the latest solar design and modeling tools used in the industry. As a researcher at an accredited academic institution, you will have access to PVcase Ground Mount, PVcase Roof Mount, and PVcase Yield, depending on your project needs. Additionally, you will be able to access the PVcase Academy and take eLearning courses related to our product offerings for the duration of your project.
Who is eligible?
Qualified Research institutions include all accredited public or private Entities, including:
- Research centers
- Research laboratories and National institutes
- Colleges, universities, and technical schools
Requesting a research license
We’ll need some basic information from you to set up your research license. Please complete the Educational & Research License request form choosing the research option provided. When completing the form, please make sure to provide as much information as possible about your research project. This will help us evaluate your request and determine the scope of your software needs and support from our end.
We’ll also need written proof of your current employment or enrollment at your institution.
