We have big news to share! We just closed the largest solar software company fundraising round ever in Europe with our €20 million Series A! Check out what our co-founders, Douglas Geist and David Trainavicius, have to say about it:
Here at PVcase, we’ve been focused on building clutter-free solar solutions since day one. Three years ago, PVcase launched Ground Mount, AutoCAD-based solar design software, and ever since, we’ve been adding new functionality to help engineers design bigger, better and more efficient solar projects around the world.
For the first couple of years, we’ve been focused on removing the most monotonous tasks from the engineering workflow, enabling our customers to deliver solar designs at speed. Soon after, we’ve noticed that the whole solar value chain could benefit from a streamlined approach and further technological innovation. We began rethinking what role PVcase can play in helping all solar asset owners and have decided to build a cloud-based yield estimation tool that would be seamlessly connected to PVcase.
Simultaneously, over the last 40 months, we’ve not only grown our product portfolio but also expanded our team, opened 3 new offices in 2 countries, and grown our customer base 167% year over year in over 50 countries. Not to mention, last year alone, we achieved 4x ARR growth! And, now, we are excited to use this new investment to expand into the U.S. and develop even more solutions to help companies transition to renewable energy.
But, we’re not just investing in our technology – we’re also investing in our people. We are hiring for both remote positions and roles across several of our offices. We are actively looking for individuals who are committed to helping improve sustainability around the world. If you’re interested in joining our talented team and supporting our mission, head to our careers page.
We also want to thank those who are helping us harness the potential of solar technology, and the entire value chain. From our investors – Elephant, Practica Capital and Contrarian Ventures – to our PVcase team and, of course, our amazing customers – thank you for your support and dedication to furthering our mission of fighting climate change with software.
This is an amazing achievement for the business, but it’s just the first of many. We have much more work to do, so watch this space for more exciting updates to come!
